The Royal Wedding

29th April 2011 saw the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. From the moment the announcement of their engagement was made, up to the event itself the spotlight on the couple and whole family had never been more intense. C-Cubed followed all development closely bringing audiences a series of comprehensive and in-depth news reports and features on a wide range of royal wedding stories from the souvenirs going on sale and the effect of the event on the British economy. Our production team also travelled to Scotland, visiting the University of St. Andrews to explore the romantic story of Prince William and Kate Middleton while they were studying there. In addition to this, we also produced a feature on the University’s 600th Anniversary, focusing on Chinese students and presenting their personal experiences there at St. Andrews. On the wedding day itself, C-Cubed Media working in partnership with one of China’s largest Web portals to conduct live reports from the event via a range of multimedia forms. We provided a host of interactive micro-blogs, pictures, videos and interviews all of which successfully engaged Chinese audiences.

London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has always been a display of vitality, creativity and extreme glamour. From 2008 to 2011, C-Cubed Media has been providing video coverage of London Fashion Week. Our production team provide on-the-spot reports of the latest news, attending the shows of biggest names in the designing world and being to upcoming fashion trends direct to our audience. We are the only Chinese media service able to bring audiences exclusive video interviews with designers such as Vivienne Westwood. C-Cubed Media focuses on all the Chinese-related elements of the fashion world at the show, and have produced a series of news features on up and coming as well as established Chinese designers on show in London.

Documentary Talk of Home

At the beginning of 2010, 8 British Chinese’s campaign for the MP election attracted much attention of the British society. From sailors to takeaway restaurant owners, Chinese immigrants survive and start to take root here in Britain. They have created their own history and have gradually got involved into the British mainstream society. Taking British Chinese’s campaign for MPs as an opportunity, C-Cubed Media invited Hollywood directors and top British documentary production teams to produce this documentary filmed both in China and Britain. By presenting the stories of 10 British Chinese representatives, this documentary is dedicated to record the history of British Chinese for 150 years, and show to both British and Chinese audience a real and unknown community of British Chinese. This documentary is going to be broadcasted on several British mainstream media, including BBC and Channel 4, with the purpose of boosting British and Chinese cultural convergence, and bringing more visibility to the British Chinese communities.

UK Chinese Students Elite Contest Reality TV

The UK Chinese Students Elite Show is going to be the first mainland Chinese domestic television program based on the life of Chinese students studying abroad, and it is a reality show fully filmed overseas. C-cubed Media is going to be the directing and producing company. By combining indoor-layout filming and live-action filming on British local scenarios, C-cubed Media is able to give audiences a multi-facet show on the Chinese students’ life in the UK. Apart from filming taken in professional British studios, the Elite Show will cooperate with various UK universities, and film the university life. Therefore, this production is also a display of British university cultures and campus views, and an innovative platform for Chinese audience to obtain information on studying abroad. The UK Chinese Students Elite Show is going to be shown on Hunan TV, Hunan Economic TV (ETV), as well as other online media including BBC Chinese, Xinhua Net online videos, CNTV, 163.com, Sina, Baidu, Ku6, Youku, Tudou, and Tencent. The project is currently running, and the show is coming soon.

BBC Events

C Cubed Media has also planned and produced series of popular events and online broadcast program for BBC UKChina. Feature series Students’Guide in the UK were tailor-made for BBC UKChina Service and were very successful among the audience; while the live series of Go into Campus events helped to increase the internet hits of BBC UKChina by 2 million.

From January 2011 to April 29th, C Cubed Media planned and promoted  for BBC UKChina Service Prince William and Royal Wedding Note, which follows the royal wedding ceremony and encourages the Chinese community in the UK to get involved. It has been a huge success , and it has increased the click through rate by 2 million in just two months.

80th Anniversary of Bank of China London Branch

C Cubed Media provide multi-media services for various events of both China and UK companies and governments. We present all kinds of events, such as top-level visits, concerts, meetings, in the best form and wonderful visual effects. Most recently we have successfully filmed and produced for Bank of China (UK)’s 80th Anniversary which was held in Guildhall of over 570 years’ history. Many celebrities in the UK, including more than 10 Lords, attended this event. The Vice-Premier Wang Qishan and the Chairman of Bank of China came to the party. C Cubed Media produced the Bank of China UK 80th Anniversary Promotion Video which live broadcasted and filmed the whole process of this tremendous event. After the editing, C Cubed Media designed the DVD for Bank of China UK Limited. The DVDs recorded unforgettable moments of the Bank of China UK limited 80th Anniversary were sent to people who attended the event and who were interested in that event. C Cubed Media completed the task successfully and won the favorable reviews from clients.

C- Vision Media Training

C-cubed Media has successfully held four sessions of training courses, and received overwhelming positive responses. For the past training courses, our company designed well-balanced course syllabus, including background knowledge and theories on media industry, technical equipment functioning, as well as film and video productions. With emphases on both theories and technical skills, we are able to equip all trainees with fundamentals to excel in the media industry. Indeed, many of our past trainees have been subsequently employed by leading names in the industry, such as Ogilvy, Phoenix TV, CCTV, and PR Newswire. By contributing to the growing league of Chinese media professionals, our company also has fulfilled out promise to “offer everyone a chance to succeed”.

 

Through the past training courses, with our training techniques maturing, C-cubed Media has been continuously upgrading the quality of training by improving equipments, employing industrial professionals, and refining syllabus. Gradually, we aim to make C-Vision Training Course a vivid learning experience that is realistic, professional, and intriguing, as well as a brand name for the C-cubed Media. Currently, the 5th C-vision Film & Drama Production Training is ongoing.

Chinese Consular Protection for Chinese Embassy in UK

In 2010, C-cubed Media directed and produced the six-episode film, Chinese Consular Protection, for the Chinese Embassy in UK. The film highlights the consular protection and services provided by the UK Chinese embassy, and it was the first time that a Chinese Embassy used video format to publicise its consular protection services in such detail.

Since then, the C-cubed Media has created a full set of plans for documentary productions. C-cubed Media has also organised a chat show for the release of the Consular Protection film, cooperating with other forms of media, to promote the film.

On 22nd February, Chinese Consular Protection were released and promoted by major mainstream media networks such as BBC Chinese Service, Sina, QQ, Xinhua News Agency, China Daily. By employing modern technology to its fullest, the videos were also extensively distributed to various social media networks, including the mobile phone text messages sent directly to the users of the two largest phone operators in China, the China Mobile and the China Unicom, upon their arrival in the UK. It is also made available to the Air China and China Eastern flights from China to the UK. C Cubed Media made sure the major Internet media such as Sina China and Tecent are covering the release as well.  Within a week, the clickthrough rate of Sina and Tecent have reached more than 1.5 million.

For the government bureaus, the image is their brand name. By producing and promoting the Consular Protection film, C-cubed Media has fulfilled its task, and also improved the image of Chinese Embassy worldwide.

Bank of China London Branch Promotional Video

At Bank of China’s 80th anniversary, C-Cubed Media tailored a commemorative promotional video for BoC London Branch. In recent years, C-Cubed Media has filmed and recorded various events and activities for Bank of China London Branch, such as the celebration of the 78th anniversary and Prime Minister Wen Jiabao’s visit to the branch. All these valuable footage and archives were used in the production of the promotional video, which shows the growth and vibrant prospect of the development of Bank of China London Branch. The presentation of this promotional video on the celebration of the 80th anniversary was very successful and our works and efforts were well acknowledged and complimented. Ever since then, this promotional video has been used by Bank of China London Branch on various occasions, including celebrations and high-end visits.
